Backlink Norms

We welcome editorial links from relevant sites — surveying, geospatial, AEC, drone services, GIS, and engineering publications — provided they meet the norms below. Links must be relevant, truthful, and follow major search-engine webmaster guidelines (Google, Bing, Yandex, Baidu).

• Link to our home page or to a specific service or article that is genuinely relevant to your context.
• Use truthful, descriptive anchors (see norms below).
• Open the link in the same window or a new tab — either is fine.
• Reproduce small excerpts (≤ 90 words) of our content with a visible link back to the source page.

Use natural, descriptive anchors. Preferred patterns:

• Terradrafts — brand
• Terradrafts survey drafting — branded + topic
• drone to CAD service — topical, descriptive
• drone-to-drawings.lovable.app — naked URL

Avoid exact-match commercial anchors at scale (e.g. repeating “best survey drafting company” across many domains). Avoid misleading or unrelated anchors.

• Sponsored placements must use rel="sponsored".
• User-generated content (forums, comments) should use rel="ugc".
• Editorial mentions may be dofollow or nofollow at your discretion.
• If we provide guest content, we expect a clear byline and a single contextual link back to Terradrafts.

The following are not allowed and will be reported / disavowed:

• Paid or exchanged links without rel="sponsored" or rel="nofollow".
• Private blog networks (PBNs), link farms, link wheels, or any automated/bulk link generation.
• Hidden text, cloaked anchors, or links injected via hacked pages, comment spam, or scraped content.
• Links from sites promoting illegal content, malware, adult material, or anything that violates major search-engine webmaster guidelines.
• Framing our site, presenting our content as your own, or hot-linking our images, drawings, or sample CAD files.
• Using our brand or logos in a way that implies endorsement, partnership, or certification we have not granted in writing.

We link out only to sources we have reviewed and consider useful to the reader. We do not sell editorial links and do not accept sponsored placements that are not clearly marked as such. We may remove or update outbound links without notice.

We consider partnerships with publications, surveyor associations, drone operators, GIS firms, and AEC media. Send a brief pitch with the proposed topic, target page, and expected publish date to hello@terradrafts.com. We do not pay for placements and do not accept pay-for-link offers in either direction.

If you have linked to us and want the link removed, or if you believe a link to us breaches these norms, email hello@terradrafts.com with the URL of the linking page and the target URL. We action legitimate requests within 14 days and disavow harmful links at our own discretion.
